The New and Improved!

I am loving my new blog, if I do say so myself! I have to thank Cassie from http://mom2jope.blogspot.com/. She did a wonderful job!

So now that my blog has been beautified, I believe I will start posting A LOT more! Lucky Lucky you!

As for now, all is well. I think Jack is FINALLY over the funk he has had since before Christmas! Thanks Goodness! This Mama could not take much more sickness!

I will post again later. That's it for now!

I promise to get better at posting!

Until then, this blog is in serious need of some T.L.C.! I need to make it look all neat and spiffy like the ones I read daily! :)

Anyone who has any pointers or wants to help please let me know!

A New Year and A New Me!

Well I have decided what my New Years Resolutions will be. Yes I have more than one!

1. Be the best Mom I possible can.
2. Lose Weight and Get Healthy. (Isn't that every ones?)
3. Establish some sort of daily routine for my family.

1. The most important job I have is being a Mom. My boys are my world! We are not having anymore, so they are my only chance at success! They are great kids, I could not ask for anything better. It is my job to teach them how to be nice, respectful and obedient yet still be boys at the same time! I have my hands full, this I know! This is my first priority! I hope to make them as happy and proud as they make me!

2. I am on a mission to lose at least 30 pounds by 6/24! That will be Jake's fourth birthday. I have held onto the baby weight from when I was pregnant with him for long enough! i know I will never be as small as I was when i got pregnant with him, nor do I want to be that small but I do want to get in the healthy weight range for my height. I have been working in this since I started back to work from my Maternity Leave with Jack. I have been working out 5 days a week, drinking almost nothing but water and eating healthier and watching my calorie intake. So far, since December 2 I have lost 10 pounds! I actually like working out! It is my Me time and it makes me feel really good! I will keep y'all updated on this little journey!

3. I have heard a lot of people talk about the schedules they have their kids on and how well they work. I have tried this and failed multiple times! Mainly because my dear husband will not stick with me and help conquer the challenge! We have no set times for anything. At almost 4 years old, I still cuddle Jake to sleep and take him to his bed when he is out. Not only is he heavy as hell :) but should be going to sleep in his own bed at a designated bed time. It will be hard, there is not doubt but it has to be done for the boy's well-being and Mommy's sanity! Now lets see if I can get Jason to stick with the program and not give in when Jake crys! If this does not work, you may see us on your next episode of Super Nanny!

That brings me to something else. I need to get Jake under a little more control. He is acting up at school and throwing horrible fits at home. I feel like I have tried everything, but I am sure there is more that I can do. Maybe I should make that my 1/2 year resolution, because Lord knows I cannot take it for another year!

Until next time,

Blogging and Introductions...

This is my first blog. I love to read them, so let's see how I like to write them! :)

I guess I should do introductions first. I am Stepfanie. I live a simple life, as a Mommy and a wife. I have been married to Jason for almost 2 years now but we have been together for much longer! He was my high school sweetheart. I know, so cliche! :) In 2005, we had our first son, Jacob(Jake). A true blessing from above! He is my sweet boy. I vowed from day 1 to make him a Momma's Boy and I succeeded! He is very loving and a ball of energy! In 2008, we had our second(and final :)) son, Jackson(Jack). He is the quiet one, and lord knows I needed that after Jake! :) He is very laid-back and loves to smile and "talk". Jason got lucky with this one, because he is a Daddy's Boy! He lights up when he hears Jason's voice or sees his face! It is amazing. Those three boys are my world! And I can guarantee that there will probably not be one post that does not mention them!

You may be wondering why the URL for my blog is titled DirtRags and Pepsi's. This is one of the many things that I love about being a Mom. The Innocence of a Child! Jake is a great Big Brother when it comes to helping us out with Jack. I can almost always ask him to get me something and he is on it quick! He understands that if Jack is in his swing and Mommy or Daddy are busy, then you give Jack his Paci or if he has spit up, then you get a Burp Rag. Instead of using these terms for the above mentioned, he calls the Paci a Pepsi and the Burp Rag a Dirt Rag. No, we do not correct him because we think it is cute!

Well, there is my introduction. I guess I will start officially "blogging" next time! Thanks for visiting and I hope you return soon! :)
